Q: How do I get to your Victoria Park branch?

A:

To get to our Victoria park branch you can catch bus numbers 1, 2 and 3 which come right past our door. The nearest stop, stop number 4, is right outside our front door. Get our address details and a map on our contact us page.


Q: Who is eligible for PEP Training programs?

A:

People with a disability who have a desire to enter the workforce.

Places on our Security Operations and Transport and Distribution courses are subject to selection criteria by personal interview with one of PEP’ straining Officers.

Q: What is the cost of the training programs?

A:Certificate 1 in Keys to Employment is a free training program offered by PEP.

The training component of Certificate I in Hospitality is free.  However there is a charge of  $100 towards the cost of the safety boots and uniform that you must have to work in a kitchen.
 
Certificate II Security Operations costs $90 for Health Care card holders or $180 full price.

Certificate II in Transport and Distribution costs $248 for concession holders and $418 full price.

Q: Can I receive funding assistance for training courses?

A:

If you are in receipt of a pension from Centrelink you may be eligible for additional assistance to help with the cost associated with undertaking a PEP training course.

Q: Why should I complete a training course?

A:PEP’s training courses will provide you with important skills in a variety of industries.

These skills will look great on your CV and are likely to increase your chances of finding and maintaining employment.

Q: Who runs the training courses?

A:PEPs’ trainers are qualified trainers with many years experience in working with people with a disability.  The industry components of the courses are conducted by leading industry professionals with support from one of PEPs’ trainers to ensure all students receive the best possible employment outcomes.

Q: Am I assured of a job once I have completed the training course?

A:PEP is unable to assure you of a job once you have completed your course.  However, by completing a training course you will become more ‘employable’ and PEP will endeavour to find you suitable work in an area you are interested in.


Q: How long do training courses go for?

A:The hours and length of training courses vary from course to course.
