1. PEP Community Services (Inc) (PEP) is required to comply in accordance with The Commonwealth Privacy Act (1988) and The Disability Services Act (1986) concerning the handling of personal information about people who are involved with the organisation. Other legislation and common law precedents also impact on what may be determined as PEP's duty of care to its customers and clients.
2. The information provided by you upon registration on this website, and any other information sent to PEP by you or otherwise obtained by PEP about you may be used by PEP to:
a) Process website requests and provide requested information
b) Provide advice and communication about PEP and its services via email, telephone, or facsimile
c) Undertake employment and training searches on your behalf
d) Liaise with employers and training organisations
e) Develop and maintain a stakeholder database
f) Maintain and administer PEP's records
g) Report to Government funding agencies
h) Conduct surveys and undertake statistical analysis
i) Review and assess stakeholder use of the PEP website and;
j) Produce promotional material
3. Disclosure of Information
a) PEP Community Services (Inc) provides a range of employment and training services to people and organisations. As a result, personal information submitted to PEP may be disclosed to third parties (i.e. prospective employers) where applicable
b) PEP will seek to ensure that client information being given to an employer will be relevant and appropriate for the position
c) PEP will seek to ensure that information provided meets duty of care requirements of the organisation
d) PEP will support clients to enable them to meet their own duty of care requirements
e) In situations where a client fails or refuses to disclose information to an employer, despite support, which in the PEP staff member's professional judgement has implications in relation to duty of care, the staff member may disclose relevant information
f) Where possible in the above situation the PEP staff member will inform the client of why they are disclosing the relevant information

The Commonwealth Privacy Act (1988) outlines that persons may be denied access to personal information in certain circumstances set out in that Act and PEP will rely on its rights under the act.
5. Incorrect or inaccurate personal information can be revised by PEP upon your advice by calling PEP on 9470 3096 or emailing pep@pep.org.au
6. PEP may amend this Privacy Statement as its organisational requirements and/or the law changes. Any amendments to the Statement will be available on the website.
